The Eagles got 2008 off  to a good start Friday night with a 28-21 victory over 6A Lexington Lafayette.  Lafayette came into the game ranked in the Top 25 in the state.  North's Dalton Cissell scored 3 TD's in the game scoring on a 69 yd screen pass and a 91 yd kickoff return as well as a 15 yd rushing TD. 

The defense provided opprotunities and a score when Brandon Campbell recovered a fumble in the endzone.  The offensive line proved to be the difference in the 2nd half as the Eagles controlled the line of scrimmage and the clock.
